The UDSPS (Universal Dual Pressure Sensor) is an innovative device designed to measure both low pressure (depth) and high pressure (cylinder) simultaneously. This cutting-edge sensor utilizes two separate pressure sensors: one for depth (0-7 Bar) and another for cylinder pressure (0-400 Bar). Its dual functionality makes it an ideal solution for search and rescue teams, enabling them to stay informed about the diver’s depth and remaining air supply at all times.
The sensor can easily connect to either a Novasub xDR or DVR3 when they are equipped with depth integration. Once connected, these systems provide real-time data such as depth, maximum depth, dive time, and pressure. Additionally, a low-pressure alarm can be set up to alert the tender when the pressure reaches 100 Bar. This can be seen at the bottom of this page.
The UDPS is constructed with a durable Stainless Steel housing, featuring a 3-pin connector on one end and both pressure sensors on the other. The depth sensor utilizes a small hole to measure outside pressure, while the pressure sensor is equipped with a standard high-pressure connection (7/16-20 UNF Male). For easy connectivity, the sensor employs a standard MCBH3MSS connector. Utilizing the 4-20 mA current with the HART protocol, the sensor only requires two wires in the cable to transmit all necessary data. With the UDSPS, dive teams can now enhance their safety and efficiency, ensuring the well-being of divers and facilitating successful search and rescue operations.
