Novasub has developed a diver intercom that uses digital signal processing: the xDR-DSP. The system uses our in-house designed PCB with our in-house written firmware. The combination of the hardware and firmware results in a communicator explicitly designed for divers. The software gives this diver radio a massive amount of configurability on who can hear and talk to who, and you can set each gain & volume of audio inputs & outputs separately. In addition, each radio has a rechargeable battery that can be used as an uninterrupted power supply to prevent any communication loss with the diver. The battery can also be used on some systems as the main power supply and will supply enough power for a day’s work.
