Novasub has developed a method to utilize full HD cameras on existing cables and umbilicals, enabling the transmission of nearly four times the pixels without any additional delay. By employing a high-bandwidth signal on either a coax core or a high-quality twisted pair, we can achieve significantly higher resolutions.
The maximum achievable length depends on the quality of the twisted pair, with lengths of up to 300m achievable for twisted pairs close to CAT specifications and up to 250m for coax. To use the new Novasub HD standard, you will have to have a novasub HD camera end a HD compatible topside unit. This will enable you to see what your divers are up to in full HD and realtime!
DVR3 The HD system makes use of the same innovative Novasub DVR3 software that was developed for SD. This means that with HD you also have access to the DVR3 functions like of example:
